Ingredients

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup Coco Powder
  • 1 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Wet Ingredient:

  • 250 grams Cooking Chocolate
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 2 Eggs

Temperature: 170 – 180c
Bake for 20-30 mins

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour and cocoa powder to remove any lumps and ensure a smooth texture. Sifting also helps evenly distribute the cocoa for a deep, uniform chocolate flavor.

Add the brown sugar and salt, then whisk everything together until well combined. Make sure there are no clumps of sugar remaining. Set aside while you prepare the wet mixture.

Step 2

Place the cooking chocolate in a heatproof bowl and melt it gently using a double boiler method or in short intervals in the microwave. Stir between intervals to prevent burning.

Once fully melted, the chocolate should be smooth and glossy. Allow it to cool slightly so it is warm but not too hot before mixing with the other ingredients.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs until slightly frothy and smooth. Add the vegetable oil and mix until well incorporated.

Gradually pour the slightly cooled melted chocolate into the egg mixture while stirring continuously. Mix until smooth and glossy.

Now gently fold the dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture. Stir until just combined, making sure not to overmix. The batter should be thick, rich, and smooth.

Step 4

Preheat your oven and prepare your baking pan by greasing it and lining it with parchment paper. Pour the batter evenly into the pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake until the edges are set and the center is slightly soft but not runny. A toothpick inserted should come out with a few moist crumbs for a fudgy texture.

Allow to cool before slicing for clean cuts and maximum richness.
