Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder

Wet Ingredient:

  • 2 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 room temperature eggs
  • 1 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Honey

Step 1

Prepare the Base Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the milk, egg yolks (separated from the whites), sugar, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, honey, and baking powder. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and well blended.

Gradually add the flour and continue mixing until a lump-free batter forms. The texture should be smooth and slightly thick.

Step 2

Whip the Egg Whites: In a separate clean, dry bowl, add the egg whites. Using a hand beater or electric mixer, beat until soft peaks form.

The egg whites should appear airy, glossy, and hold their shape gently when the beater is lifted. This step helps create a light and fluffy texture.

Step 3

Fold Gently: Carefully fold the whipped egg whites into the prepared batter in batches. Use a spatula and gentle folding motions to retain as much air as possible.

Avoid overmixing, as this can deflate the batter and reduce fluffiness. The final batter should feel light and airy.

Step 4

Cook & Serve: Heat a lightly greased pan over low to medium heat. Pour the batter gently into the pan and cook until bubbles appear on the surface and the underside turns golden. Flip carefully and cook the other side until fully set.

Drizzle with honey before serving for a soft, fluffy, and lightly sweet finish.
